Journey with Jesus

"Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ..."

~Romans 5::1 NKJV

We all start as sinners, falling short of God’s glorious standard. Nobody’s living right. Nobody knows the score. Nobody’s alert for God. Nobody’s heading the right way. Nobody’s talking right (Romans 3:10-31 MSG).

Because nobody’s giving God the time of day, we work hard for the slave master of sin our whole lives for our pensions of death. But God sent Jesus, Master of Righteousness, to offer real-life with eternal life benefits (Romans 6:23 MSG).

We all have a journey to make. And Jesus promised us that we would have trouble on the journey in this world. But we can be of good cheer for He has overcome the world. But there is no overcoming without Jesus.

Life is a journey. As we head down the road, our characters get challenged as the offenses come. But we can change by transforming into the image of God or become bitter by staying the same. For when we embrace what God has always wanted to do for us—setting us right with Himself (Romans 5:1)—with our whole beings, we have something to shout about: “God has set everything right between Him and me” (Romans 10:10 MSG)! That’s a journey worth taking.

Because ministry matters to Jesus, it begins with Jesus. Thus, if Jesus is not central to your life, where He is the Base and the Boundary, the Center and Circumference, the Balance and the Beauty of your life, then there is no real hope in your ministry. Thus, if you want your ministry to transform the lives of others, then allow His story to transform your story.

Then, you will declare: “My heart is on fire, boiling over with passion. Bubbling up within me are these beautiful lyrics as a lovely poem to be sung for the King. Like a river bursting its banks, I’m overflowing with words, spilling out into this sacred story” (Psalm 45:1 TPT)

To join the Jesus Journey, START* here:

S Stop trusting in yourself and what you can do (Prov 28:26)

and start trusting in Jesus and what He has already done (Pro 3:5-6).

T Tell Jesus that you are sorry for your sins (1 Jo 1:9)

and invite Him to come and live inside you (Rev 3:20).

A Ask Jesus to become your Savior and Lord (1 Tim 1:15),

which means making Him #1 in your life (Ro 10:9-10).

R Repent and turn away from everything

that God and the Bible call sin (Acts 3:19).

T Totally commit yourself to obey Christ

every day for the rest of your life (Mat 16:25).

Then, pray::

Dear Jesus, I want to stop trusting myself and what I can do and start trusting You and what You have already done when You died for me on the cross. I know I am a sinner and am sorry for my sins. Forgive me. Come and live inside of me. Be #1 in my life as my Savior and Lord. I repent and turn away from everything You and the Bible call sin. I totally commit to obeying You every day for the rest of my life. Thank You! In the name of Jesus, Amen!*
