Leave His M.A.R.K.

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. ~Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV

Jesus left an indelible mark on all who encountered Him because the Father was with Him. After the Father anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and power, He went about doing good. He healed all oppressed by the devil, for all things were possible because they believed in Him. The blind returned seeing. The crippled went away walking without a limp. The lepers returned to their families utterly healed. The deaf left hearing. The dead returned to the land of the living. The poor and broken heard the Good News of Salvation.

Because His disciples believed, they left an indelible mark because Jesus was with them as they operated in the same power and authority. They cast out demons in His Name. They spoke in new tongues. They handled snakes safely. They drank poison without harm. They placed their hands on the sick and healed them. They preached the Good News to everyone, everywhere.

When we allow the mark of Jesus Christ to transform our lives, we position ourselves to leave an indelible mark on this world. We do so by taking the time to M.A.R.K.

M is for MINISTER. As a good steward of the manifold grace of God, use the grace gift He gave you. If you have a speaking gift, speak as though God were speaking His Words through you. If you have the gift of serving, do it passionately with the strength He gives you so that in everything, He alone will be gloried through Jesus Christ.

A is for ALL. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of your house. Give it plenty of room in your life. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. Sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail of your life—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of our Master, Jesus, and thank Father God every step of the way.

R is for RESTORE. Suppose you see a fellow believer overtaken with a fault. In that case, you who overflow with His Spirit must seek to forgivingly restore him. Win Him over with your gentle words, keeping your critical comments to yourself because you may soon need forgiveness.

K is for KIND. Let your love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love. Graciously forgive one another as God in Christ forgave you. In honor, give preference to one another. Do not lag in diligence, but be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, and continue steadfastly in prayer. Distribute to the needs of the saints and give yourself to hospitality.

When Jesus is the Base and the Boundary, the Balance and the Beauty, the Center and Circumference of your life, He will be with you so that you can leave a mark that reverberates throughout eternity.
